STARDUST

Stardust is a women-founded, women-led period tracking app that makes use of scientific research and machine learning to provide menstruators with insights unique to their cycle. I create performance ads based on current trends, popular features, and trending cultural and political moments.

The app contains a host of features beyond cycle tracking, including daily messages related to hormone levels at different phases of the cycle, a “cyclepedia” explaining common symptoms and feelings, the ability to record symptoms and examine trends over time, partner/friend-tracking, and a pregnancy tracker, all tied together by design that adds enchantment to an otherwise bothersome bodily function. 

Perhaps the most notable aspect of the app, in this day and age, is its commitment to the security and privacy of users. Stardust encrypts all users’ personal information and does not sell any of the data it records to advertisers.

As a bonus, the app shows users where their cycles fall alongside the moon’s phases, and also spotlights astrology, traditional Chinese medicine, folkloric knowledge, and Ayurveda in its insights library.
